Liberals Building Monument to Murderer

Progressives in Tucson have decided they need a monument to the spree murder at a supermarket in their town, in which former congresswoman Gabby Giffords was injured but survived.

Giffords, who has become a figurehead in the anti-rights gun-control movement, has already had a naval vessel named after her (her husband is a former Navy officer).

Not everyone agrees building monuments like this is a good idea. In response to the announced release of the design of the monument, this letter went to hundreds of news outlets in the state. No word yet on results. Permission granted to send to your local outlets.

Dear Editor,
One day in Tucson at the "January 8th Memorial" site:
"Hey Mommy, what's that they're building?"
"It's a memorial hon."
"What's it for?"
"It's to remember some people who died there and the evil man who murdered them."
"Why would they do that?"
"Some people are afraid they'll forget them."
"Where is the evil man?"
"He's living in prison."
"Can he see his memorial?"
"No, honey, but he knows they're building it."
"Will it cost a lot of money Mommy?
"Four million dollars sweetheart."
"I wish I had four million dollars!"
"You could do a lot of good with that much money."
"Won't other people want to kill people so they can get memorials too Mommy?"
"I hope to God not, honey, I hope to God not. Come let's get away from here."
