Think you don't scare easy?

New Gun Buyers Profiled

The lamestream media told you:

Too many people have guns, the government must do something to reduce the numbers of guns in people's hands. So what if the Bill of Rights bans any such action of any kind. There are more guns in America than people for Pete's sake, isn't that enough? Something must be done to stop gun sales.

In other news, Miley Cyrus' new album is selling great after her appearance on the MTV Music Awards. Her brief performance got more media attention than every czar working in government has gotten for the past year, combined. Czars -- remember them?

The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:

A study commissioned by the National Shooting Sports Foundation reveals that first-time gun buyers are largely active in one or more shooting activities and that women are motivated to purchase their first firearm predominately for personal defense.

The online research involved consumers aged 22 to 65 who bought their first firearm during 2012. Key findings included: the majority of first-time buyers (60.3%) tend to be active, using their gun once per month, with one in five reporting usage of once a week or more. Target shooting is by far the most popular activity among first-time gun owners (84.3%), followed by hunting (37.7%) and plinking (27.4%). Fox Business filed a report on the soaring retail sales of firearms, quoting NSSF Public Affairs Director Michael Bazinet. The report recognizes the significant boost first-time buyers are giving to record sales (of guns, not Cyrus). Read the NSSF press release:

And in other news:
Discreet Carry Jumps Among Florida Women: More than one million Floridians have their concealed carry permit, but the gender and age bracket showing the largest increase might surprise you -- it's women 66 years of age and older.

Their numbers have jumped 619% since 2004, reports the Orlando Sentinel, and total nearly 35,000 individuals licensed to carry a firearm in the Sunshine State and 35 other states. The Sentinel also reports that women in the youngest age bracket, 21 to 35, with pistol permits increased 463% to more than 40,000. While gun ownership is up, the Sentinel reports violent crime in Florida has dropped nearly 60% in the last 20 years.

Illegals Get OK to Go Gun Shopping

The lamestream media told you:

Governors around the nation are wrestling with whether to issue drivers licenses to illegal immigrants who are now in the country legally as college students, thanks to Obama's "deferred action" program, where, by a stroke of the president's pen, these children, victims of nothing more than being brought by parents, are now good kids in school, etc...

The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:

Because a driver's license is the main form of ID relied upon by federal firearms dealers, deferred-action students approved by Mr. Obama are now apparently eligible to buy firearms and ammunition at retail, according to leading experts. Under normal conditions, illegal aliens cannot legally buy guns in America.

It's not clear if the national NICS system has this special federal class of people singled out for special treatment in the NICS Index, the list of prohibited possessors. Someone should ask, but skeptics don't expect authorities to do their jobs and do so.

Mayors Against Guns Bleeding Members

The lamestream media told you:

Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his group Mayors Against Illegal Guns is doing everything they can to take guns off the street, lock up criminals and make the world safer for all of us. Why the NRA and these horrid gun people would work against that is sick.

The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:

"I was never an active member. They're not just against illegal guns, they're against all guns." - Mayor Bob Scott, Sioux City, Iowa

“It was a mistake really…They swindle you in and then put your name on the list.” - Mayor Keith Hoffman, East Berlin, Pennsylvania

"I am withdrawing because I believe the MAIG is attempting to erode all gun ownership, not just illegal guns. Additionally, I have learned that the MAIG may be working on issues which conflict with legal gun ownership. It appears the MAIG has misrepresented itself to the Mayors of America and its citizens. This is gun control, not crime prevention." - Former Mayor Patricia Shontz, Madeira Beach, Florida

"I became a member of Mayors Against Illegal Guns based on my belief that this group would help in the fight against criminal gun use. After all, who isn't for making our communities safer by getting illegal guns off the streets and out of the hands of the wrong people? After careful consideration and after listening to the concerns of many of my constituents I have come to the conclusion that some of your organization's statements and actions can be construed as infringing on the rights of legitimate gun owners. Because of this, I request that you remove my name from your web site and from your membership lists." - Former Mayor Royce Pollard, Vancouver, Washington

"I am withdrawing because you are attempting to erode all gun ownership, not just illegal guns. I have learned that the coalition may be working on issues which conflict with legal gun ownership, and that some actions on your behalf are dubious...Regrettably, it has become continuously clear to me that you are using this coalition of mayors to advance a hidden agenda of bringing lawsuits against members of the firearms industry and spreading anti-gun propaganda." - Former Mayor Marlene Anielski, Walton Hills, Ohio

"Sometime ago, I attended a meeting with many city officials from throughout the United States. At this meeting there was a table with the title "Mayors Against Illegal Guns." Not wanting illegal guns, I signed the form not knowing what kind of spin would ensue. As it turned out, it was against the 2nd amendment, etc. I have since been removed from the "Mayors Against Illegal Guns" movement. On our city website I have a letter to all stating my position. I'm not against the NRA, guns or hunting and never will be." - Mayor John D. Link, Edgewood, Kentucky

"It is simply unconscionable that this coalition, under your [Michael Bloomberg's] leadership, would call for a repeal of the Shelby/Tiahrt amendment that helps to safeguard criminal investigations and the lives of law enforcement officers, witnesses and others by restricting access to firearms trace data solely to law enforcement. How anyone, least of all a public official, could be willing to sacrifice such a law enforcement lifeline in order to gain an edge in suing an industry they have political differences with is repugnant to me. The fact that your campaign against this protective language consisted of overheated rhetoric, deception and falsehoods is disturbing." - Mayor Harry Moore, Oldmans Township, New Jersey

U.S. Far Better Than Reported

The lamestream media told you:

The U.S. has more guns than any other nation, and so we have more suicides and more deaths than any other nation. We have told you this consistently for decades.

The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:

A Harvard study titled "Would Banning Firearms Reduce Murder and Suicide?" looks at figures for "intentional deaths" throughout continental Europe and compares them with the U.S. showing more gun control does not necessarily lead to lower death rates or violent crime.

Because the findings so clearly demonstrate that more gun laws may in fact increase death rates, the study says that "the mantra that more guns mean more deaths and that fewer guns, therefore, mean fewer deaths" is wrong. The results got exposure everywhere but the lamestream media:

For example, when the study shows numbers for Eastern European gun ownership and corresponding murder rates, it is readily apparent that less guns to do not mean less death. In Russia, where the rate of gun ownership is 4,000 per 100,000 inhabitants, the murder rate was 20.52 per 100,000 in 2002. That same year in Finland, where the rater of gun ownership is exceedingly higher--39,000 per 100,000 -- the murder rate was almost nil, at 1.98 per 100,000.

Looking at Western Europe, the study shows that Norway "has far and away Western Europe's highest household gun ownership rate (32%), but also its lowest murder rate."

And when the study focuses on intentional deaths by looking at the U.S. vs. continental Europe, the findings are no less revealing. The U.S., often labeled as the most violent nation in the world by gun-control proponents, comes in 7th behind Russia, Estonia, Lativa, Lithuania, Belarus, and the Ukraine in murders. America also only ranks 22nd in suicides.

The murder rate in Russia, where handguns are banned, is 30.6. The U.S. rate is 7.8. The numbers presented in the Harvard study support the contention that among the nations studied, those with more gun control tend toward higher death rates.
"There is a compound assertion that (a) guns are uniquely available in the United States compared with other modern developed nations, which is why (b) the United States has by far the highest murder rate. Though these assertions have been endlessly repeated, statement (b) is, in fact, false and statement (a) is substantially so."

My firm, Bloomfield Press, unequivocally laid this myth to rest with the publication of the 64-nation Worldwide Gun Owner's Guide All nations have guns, gun laws, gun culture, shooting ranges and you can read about them. What's your national home? Read all about it.

Crime Drops, Media Drops the Ball

The lamestream media told you:

We have crime in the streets. Blacks are murdering other blacks in huge numbers in their own neighborhoods. There was a shooting in a town 1,000 miles away from where you live today, read all about it. Gun crime is a national problem. A mentally ill person killed some other person today, somewhere. Congress refuses to enact more gun laws. The NRA is defying all logic and preventing anything good from getting done. 92% of all Americans support a bill proposed by Nancy Pelosi, which must be true, since she mailed this fact to millions of people in a fund-raising letter. Nothing good with guns happened all year.

The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:

Americans Unaware Of Dramatic Drop: The U.S. Dept. of Justice and Pew Research Center have issued studies confirming that crime involving firearms, as well as violent crime in general, has dropped dramatically in the last two decades, even as the nation's population and firearms ownership has increased.

Yet, the American public believes crime is rising. Only 12% of Americans surveyed correctly replied that crime has been significantly reduced in the last 20 years, as opposed to 56% who thought it was higher.

If you think the media's constant drumbeat has no effect you're a fool. Failure to accurately report what's going on manipulates the public and harms the nation.

Muslims Seek World Domination

The lamestream media told you:

Islam is the religion of peace. Most Muslims are moderate. We don't know why the moderate majority don't speak out when a few radical Muslims call for world domination, label every non-Muslim an infidel who must be enslaved or wiped out, or kill innocent people day after day and blow things up.

The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:

(Note: "He11" is misspelled here to allow it through Internet filters)

Muslims intend to take over England and institute Sharia law. If you're not a Muslim you are an infidel and will "burn in he11," according to the Muslims at this event, and all British police should burn in he11 with them. U.S. media has failed to report this in the U.S.

This is not from the Uninvited Ombudsman. This is from a sea of Muslims in England at a protest. You can see it for yourself in stunning footage from a young British girl who filmed the huge event in her home town, to her startled dismay, which our media failed to report.

Write to your local news outlets and ask why they did not report on this. This is why you are supposed to make your own local media email list and use it. Gather emails of your local media, make an email group, and use it. The media had room for Miley Cyrus, they need to make room for this. You want to DO something? Do this. Make the media list.

The Self Defense Case That Won't Die

The lamestream media told you:

The Trayon Martin murder trial has changed the criminal justice system forever. A federal civil-rights trial must followup the incorrect innocent verdict, according to MSNBC news anchor Al Sharpton. Stand your ground laws must be repealed.

The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:

The George Zimmerman self-defense trial that ended in acquittal pointed out that social media and racial bigotry can be used to bring charges where none exist, and news media can create a circus to attack innocent victims of criminal assault.

Despite repeated calls for civil-rights charges, the FBI twice found that no grounds for such charges exist, once, during the actual trial, and again afterwards, when race baiters on TV demanded such actions. The media failed to report that no grounds for the charges exist, and that no case would be brought after boisterous demands commanded hours of airtime. Pundits preferred to allow the public to simply fuggedaboutit, which they are very good at doing.
